Dr. Michael Tseng is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery.
Born and raised in Maryland, he attended Emory University for his undergraduate studies where he was inducted into the Phi Sigma Biological Sciences honor society and selected as one of the 100 Community Builders and 100 Senior Honorary members.
After graduating, he volunteered in Ecuador to improve his Spanish while aiding medical professionals and learning how developing countries provided healthcare.
Dr. Tseng went on to Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx to pursue his medical degree. There he fell in love with ophthalmology and caring for underserved populations. After an internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, he returned to the Montefiore Medical Center to complete his ophthalmology residency.
An interest in corneal pathology and surgery led him to pursue a fellowship at Northwestern University where he learned to manage a wide array of corneal diseases and perform complex cataract surgery, corneal transplants, and laser refractive surgery.
Dr. Tseng has numerous academic journal publications and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Tseng is passionate about providing the highest quality of care to his patients. He speaks conversational Spanish and Mandarin.
