Si nota que la miop\u00eda de su hijo progresa m\u00e1s de lo normal, es posible que debamos considerar algunos tratamientos para controlar la miop\u00eda, como gotas oft\u00e1lmicas de atropina en dosis bajas o lentes de contacto especiales. Tambi\u00e9n es importante mejorar el tiempo que pasa al aire libre y tomar descansos durante los per\u00edodos en que trabaja de cerca. La miop\u00eda es una enfermedad que puede provocar complicaciones graves cuando los pacientes son mayores, como desprendimientos de retina, glaucoma o cicatrices maculares.
